Counseling approach

I approach my clients with client-centered warmth and compassion.  I believe every individual has a unique story, and therapy should be tailored to their personal needs, strengths, and goals.  I strive to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environmnet where clients feel heard, respected, and understood.  I utilize approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and person-centered therapy to help clients gain insight, develop healthy coping skills, build confidence, and work toward meaningful change.  I view counseling as a collaborative process, and together we will identify practical steps that support healing, growth, and a renewed sense of peace.

My Mission

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 18 years of experience prior to co-founding Renewed Peace Counseling Center, LLC. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, teenagers, young adults, and individuals facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, behavioral concerns, self-esteem, attention difficulties, social skills, and more. As a mother of a daughter with special needs, I bring both professional experience and personal perspective to my work, allowing me to approach each client with empathy, compassion, and an open mind.

Clinical Focus

My therapeutic approach may incorporate cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and person-centered therapies, with a focus on each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward greater well-being and a renewed sense of peace.

Outside the Office

In my time outside of the counseling office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching my daughter play softball, and seeing my daughters grow into young adults. I love to shop, eat good food, go with my daughters to explore new coffee trucks and shops, play games together as a family, and walk with my dogs on quiet evenings. My favorite person and my biggest support is my husband, and I am grateful for the life we've created together. These moments help me recharge so I can be fully present with my clients.
